Welcome to TVHGC! We are a friendly BHPA hang gliding and paragliding club with sites on the Marlborough and Berkshire Downs.
Our club has 400 members and 10 lovely flying sites, suitable for the Club Pilot to experienced Cross Country pilots.
The club offers a good range of safe ridge soaring sites for novices and some of the best XC sites in the south of England. However, almost all the sites are sensitive and have particular rules associated with them that must be observed by pilots visiting. Whether you are a new CP (hill) pilot just starting out or an experienced XC hound please respect the site rules. If you aren't a reciprocal member or wish to fly one of our members only sites please join the club, it costs £20 per year and if you are a new member and join after September your membership subscription will last for a year to the following March. If you have any questions, queries or concerns contact the committee or post a message in our club forum where you will find members happy to help.
Please please observe the parking rules for Uffington. They are really incredibly simple. Park in the main National Trust “Pay and Display” car park and buy a ticket to park, as you would anywhere else. Do not park in the disabled car park unless you are disabled and are displaying the appropriate blue badge in your car. Don’t park on the side of the road or in the passing places even to unload gliders and don’t block gateways that walkers and horses use. And please don’t try to land conveniently near your car.
The National Trust owns and regulates our use of this site and the license restricts us to parking only in the official car park and landing only in certain areas. The ranger is often around and it is very obvious when paragliders park elsewhere for their own convenience/laziness.
Here endeth the lecture! Many thanks in anticipation that we won’t have any more issues here.

We are hosting Club Coach Course over the weekend 14/15 Jan 2017.
This course normally costs £30 for new coaches and £20 for coaches re-attending (recommended every 5 years). However, due to the current shortage of coaches within TVHGC, the club will be absorbing the costs of the course; yes, it's FREE! :-)
Anyone may apply for the course, but to become a coach you will need to:
a) Be a BHPA Annual Flying Member.
b) Hold at least a CP rating with 10 hours (hill) or 50 flights (tow) logged since achieving CP.
c) Be recommended by his/her club. (Chief Coach and Chairman's signature required.)
Successful applicants will be notified. Venue is still TBD, but will be easily found within our patch.
