Bank Holiday Site Closures

Please remember that Rybury and Uffington are both CLOSED (according to the terms of the site agreements) on bank holiday weekends. This means NO FLYING at either site on 1, 2, 3, 29, 30, 31 May. Also, a reminder: when flying Milk White Horse, please take off and land only on the western shoulder of the ridge as shown in the sites guide. DO NOT take off and land near the top fence, or along the S-facing slope towards the horse. Natural England are watching!

Sites

The club offers a good range of safe ridge soaring sites for novices and some of the best XC sites in the south of England. However, almost all the sites are sensitive and have particular rules associated with them that must be observed by pilots visiting. Whether you are a new CP pilot just starting out or an experienced XC hound please respect the site rules - latest updates can be found here. If you aren't a reciprocal member or wish to fly one of our members only sites please join the club, it costs £28 per year and if you are a new member and join after September your membership subscription will last for a year to the following March. If you have any questions, queries or concerns contact the committee or post a message in our club forum where you will find members happy to help.

Social

Every first Wednesday of the month you'll find us there, wittering about flying, flying and more flying. The club is very friendly and we do our best to welcome new pilots of any ability. Joining the club will make arriving at new sites less daunting and mean that you will probably do more flying.

Club Email Forum
The club forum is a great place to find out information on when and where pilots are going and when. On it you will find advise and information on just about anything flying related. There are regular updates on the weather, the best new weather sites, holiday ideas, kit and the usual cacophany of flying related chat. If you have questions, we'd rather know...
