| Comments | :: | Excellent call by Paul Sayers and so Kay, Jackie and myself headed for Kimmeridge. It seemed quite windy on arrival but one pilot was already up and checking the wind it wasn't to bad. Kay got up first followed by myself and then Paul. Conditions were great lifty all along the ridge with thermals coming across at regular intervals. Three or four other pilots joined us as we boated about for two hours. We all landed as the winds started to pick up again. A good day to get rid of the cobwebs. |

| Comments | :: | Grim forcast but kitesurfing plans were changed for a outside chance of a bit of gale hanging. The reality was quite the opposite; 3-12kts, but the day was all about one thermal. Hoovered three or so off Rybury, but it kept sucking as it passed over Milk, gaining a hangie. Quite late in the day and big, big gaps between clouds, (well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it). |

| Comments | :: | First XC's of the year, how rusty am I, over the back at 3k found myself on a glide to nowhere few tehmals off a farm but not usable, an embarrasing 6.5k. Back to the hill with a relight thanks to Ian Pepper, told by him I must do better, got to base at 4k thermalling with a bird and another glider, then looked at the clock and realised I had to land to get home to babysit!!!! Landed from 4k at Highclear castle after a sharp left turn into wind tehn down with the ears in to get there, a much more plesent retreve for Mr Pepper (thanks again). Only 9.5 K but the potential was there and great fun! |

| Comments | :: | Went over with Douggie Johns and Lee Bligh to find a few fliers and lots on the ground. I biffed a few launches embarassingly badly (having practised all winter and thought I'd overcome that hurdle months ago!) then finally left the ground and had a wonderful hour or more soaring about. The air ambulance came in and we found out a man had died in his car, very sad but at least he picked a nice venue. |

| Comments | :: | Liddington was light on the hill but with some good cycles coming through; 3 pilots got away (well done!). I climbed to about 800' ATO but sank out. After I picked up my mate we headed over to Combe. Arrived 3pm and was WNW; launched into a good cycle and climbed out to 2000 over the back and landed near the wind turbine once again loosing the thermal!! Nice afternoon though. 'Little' Simon said several had got away earler; I believe he said Al got to 27km. |

| Comments | :: | Only realised at 1300 that the BBC forcast was garbage. Too Northerly at Frocester, and a bit too westerly at Selsley, but gave it a go - lifty, but difficult to work the nice thermals without committing after one 360. Got pinned on full speedbar, so landed after 40 minutes. Tested all my gadgetry anyway. |

| Comments | :: | Just to add to Chris's entry below. I flew Combe for about 1/2 an hour at about 8.30 prior to heading over to Liddington. Combe started off ok but once the wind picked up (inversion lifting/broken?) the winds came and so did some strong climbs. Coupled with being off the hill it was not an ideal place to be. Bottom landed soon thereafter. According to beacon 7-24 mph at 9.30am |

| Comments | :: | Arrived at 11.30 with Mike Hibbit and Al to see two already flying. Wind seemed to be switching between west and northwesterly and was gusty too. Plenty of scratching ensued before a few of us found a decent thermal and followed it 1100 ato and the best part of a km downwind before it petered out and we has a long but scenic trudge back to the hill. Mike then entertained all by attempting to kite-board with a vintage paraglider... Not epic but worth the drive. |

| Comments | :: | Rushed up to Chinnor after the last sleet showers of the day to find it wasn't as sunny as it was in Wycombe in fact grey and bloody cold! But flyable all the same, took off at 5.15 and had a nice fly for about 30 mins before top landing to get some blood back in my finger. After a quick warm up took off again with Rob ginger and had another 20 mins or so in the failing light before having to bottom land due to the increased wind. Surprisingly thermik considering there was zero sun on the ground, think the air was so cold even a rabbit fart was going up:-) |

| Comments | :: | Arrived soon after 9am, waited for an hour or so to see what the wind was doing. Was strong at first then calmed down a bit. Had almost 2 hours in the air. Some lovely (cold) soaring whilst following some kites up to 1500ft above TO. A PG pilot broke a limb so we landed to allow the air ambulance helicopter to come in. Sadly no flying for us in the afternoon as I had to get back to a meeting... should have cancelled it! |

| Comments | :: | We got there at about 9am, no other pilots there, ground handled, then between us had 20mins of soaring. Not ideal but fun to get some airtime before the storm! Winds steadily increased before blown out at 11am ish. |

| Comments | :: | Morning soaring at Sugar with Chris J. Conditions weren't to my taste - gusting 5 to 9mph and a bit off the hill to the west but Chris managed half an hour airtime to my couple of minutes. Still, always nice to fly even if I didn't find the 'sweet spot' on this occasion ;-) |
