Comments :: Great day! Arrived at about mid-day with Kay and Paul. Was a tad strong when we arrived and very cold! Quite a few cars on the hill but only a hangie up. Got straight into the air and only problem I had was getting back down. Pushing well out in front, never got massive height, but was a real treat after many disappoinments over the last few weeks. Got quite busy later on and there must have been ten PG's in the air and a HG. Finally landed when the lift went and the sun had set. Need more days like this.

Comments :: Day started off by chasing the wind from Liddington to Rybery and then back to Liddington before any avaition was commited, by then it had got very strong but dropped off after a while and had fun on the tandem with Marta, Jonty was out testing demo wings and it stayed flyable until well after sun set, probably flew a bit later than we should have:-)

Comments :: Windy as predicted and lots of hangies were flying with a few pgs airborne or waiting when I arrived at 1pm, then later on it lightened enough, so Rich Ford went off and I followed. Ian Pepper was trying his new wing out too. At last! my first flying at Westbury after several frustrating visits this year. All was wonderful until I biffed the landing and got dragged through the sheep and their deposits. Then a charming gent came over excitedly to tell me he got the whole thing on film and what is my email address.... no doubt the humiliation will be complete when he sticks it on you-tube. I'm told that tomorrow looks even better so here's hoping.

Comments :: Drove on the M4 and past Combe with wind blowing a beautiful 10mph from the North. Looked longingly at the empty hill as I drove another 40 miles to Westbury where the smoke from the chimney was going vertically upwards. Met Paul, Kay, Mick and Jackie who waited for an hour and then headed back to try and get some Paramotoring in. At 3.00pm Sarah W got out of her car and I followed to very light puffs of wind coming through. Took off in a little breeze and managed to get 15 minutes in the bowl along with the RC gliders. Had to get home (Typical) so packed up and left Sarah boating around as wind was steadily strengthening and sun was setting. - Ho Hum!

Comments :: Wind speed at Liddington 1-2 mph, so popped across the Motorway to find the owner of Chalbury Hill. The guy ( ex hangglider pilot ) was very positive. Quite a tight bowl but could be usefull. Will report back once it's been tried. Would not be available Sundays. Please don't fly there without contacting me first. Potential TVHGC site!

Comments :: Arrived with Mick W about 11am to find wind across the hill, but within 15 minutes it came on. Whole of the ridge working. Not many pilots go behond the farm when there is a perfectly usable ridge off to the north. Good thermal trigger area with a good view of Sugar Hill right at the end of the hill. Light thermal activity but no great climbs. Three of us went off to 'you know where' mid afternoon and had some great flying there before it got dark. Lost my digital camera at Liddington if anybody found or finds one there.

Comments :: Nice day boating about with some pilots I know from the Avon gang, notably Pete W who spends every flyable day here and sara Ward busily snapping airborne shots of pilots. Height gains topped out around 1200 ft in very smooth lightly thermic conditions although the wind on take off sometimes got above most pilots benchmark.
