Here's the welcome sign at our club venue, The Swan at Inkpen. Every first Wednesday of the month you'll find us there, wittering about flying, flying and more flying.

Why join the club?

Some people join the club just to comply with BHPA rules, fly our sites and fly reciprocal club sites. Some just want to compete. We understand that and we don't mind at all. For others who like the social aspects of flying there's plenty of chance to mingle and meet others on and off the hills. Plus there are usually club coaches around to give advice, and we run lectures and exams too.

Club Meetings

There is a club meeting on the first Wednesday of every month, usually at the Swan at Inkpen, very close to Combe Gibbet.

Forum

As well as all that, our club on-line forum is a great place for information and chat. The forum is at  http://groups.google.co.uk/group/TVHGC_Members

Flying our hills

Finally, the hills. Parawaiting and parawatching are much better done with friends, so seek out the TVHGC folk when you arrive - new CPs will inevitably find one or more of our club coaches there. This year we had grand plans for coaching days and away days but the weather has conspired against us!

Even just for safety it's a great idea to let others know who you are, where your car is etc, in case you have any problems. We have had a few incidents this year unfortunately, but the help provided by other fliers to the casualties has been excellent and very much appreciated.

Hope to see all our members out on the hills as much as possible!
