Twitter Flying Updates Print
The TVHGC sites Twitter service is an open access service to allow members to use. The idea is to allow those who have Twitter accounts either by mobile phone, web or other means to communicate updates from our sites on weather, flying or indeed to ask if anyone is going out to fly.

To use the service you must have your own Twitter account http://twitter.com/

To join you must also FOLLOW the @tvhgcsites group. You can do this by clicking on 'Join the conversation' link below and clicking Follow.

To post your tweets to the group then then etither send a direct message to @tvhgcsites or add a capital D and @TVHGCSITES e.g. "D @TVHGCSITES your message" in you tweet at any time. Then you message will be distributed to the other TVHGC Twitter followers. e.g. "D @TVHGCSITES its flyable on Milk Hill"

That's it!

VIA SMS TEXT MESSAGE

As before it's still easy to send via SMS text message from your phone provided you have set it up in Twitter.
text to 86444 e.g. "D TVHGCSITES its flyable on milk"
The D means Direct Message like email and will not show in your normal tweets.
That message then gets distributed to the TVHGCSITES followers.

Go to http://twitter.com
Click on Messages and click on send new message, type in TVHGCSITES and your message.
or tweet D @TVHGCSITES followed by your message.

VIA TWITTER FANCY SOFTWARE ON PHONES

Choose the message option and send a direct message to TVHGCSITES. Possibly sending a normal tweet message with "D @TVHGCSITES" at the start will work too.
