Check out the links on the left which will take you to the websites of the different types of competition. I intend mostly to work at encouraging members to take part in the BCC as this is the entry level competition, only requires a CP rating (plus a discretionary 15 hours airtime) and is paid for out of club funds. More advanced competitions require a minimum of P rating and cost a considerable amount of money so are best left to individuals to organise.
Paragliding
The BCC is the British Club Challenge
The BCC is open to all members of the BHPA (British Hangliding and Paragliding Association). Designed as a friendly club level competition, our focus is more on fun and team flying than out and out racing. We have a team entered for the 2010 season so if you're interested in taking part please let me know.
The British Paragliding Cup is the next level of competition.
It's the UK competition series for aspiring comp pilots. In the past couple of years there has been a large number of TVHGC members competing in this competition.
The British Paragliding Championshipsis the highest level of competition that actually has rounds in the UK.
Hang gliding
Yes, I know this is the TVHGC, not the TVPGC, but I am a floppy rather than a stiffy and know nothing about what you stiffies get up to. If you want to set up competitons within the club then do please get in touch with me and we can discuss it.
See you on the hill!
