LAT Weather Looks like the weather gods are eventually going to play ball this weekend, probably due to that fact that we are all heading out to pain for the Championships where the weather is bad too :-(
Anyway, it's looking like it will be NEly over the weekend or maybe NNEly.
This is not a good direction for Combe but NNE would work at Westbury.
Probably the best bet is to head over to SEW and fly the Blorenge which has a stunning NE bowl overlooking Abergavenny and the Castle Meadows landing field. At 1500' top to bottom even a fly down is a 15 min flight.
Have Fun

LAT Weather Not looking as epic this weekend as it did last :-(
Again the wind is looking to be NE or maybe NNE, if it goes a bit more north it might just be OK for Westbury or even Combe.
However, it is more likely to be NE so once again SEWales is the place to go, probably the Blorenge.
Saturday might have some rain but Sunday looks better. On both days the wind could be on the strong side but check in the morning.
There is a BCC round planned for the weekend so there are likely to be plenty of TVHGC members heading to SEW so you should be able to tie up and share lifts, advice etc. If you are feeling up to it why not go and join in the BCC fun.
Cheers

Looks like the weather may well be reasonable this weekend with the chance of a bit of rain, but this should not spoil things too much. The problem is the direction, basically east for both days, a little bit lighter on Saturday than Sunday. TVHGC - has nothing for East. Pandy - SHUT for lambing. Blorenge - Will take an east but is a bit shallow in this direction but should be OK as it is a high site. Malverns - You need to be CP + 15hrs and have a helmet sticker from the Malvern Club "http://www.malvern-hang.org.uk/pinnacle.shtml" Mercury - If you live to the east of the TVHGC region this is probably a reasonable bet. If there is no bottom landing available this site reverts to CP + 10hrs, not sure if there is a way of checking this beforehand? ( select "read more" for more info)
"http://www.skysurfingclub.co.uk/sites-Mercury.htm" Check the actual wind direction on the day and make your choice from there. Cheers Richard |

Doesn't look very promising for this weekend but the models are all in disagreement again. Saturday - looks to be too windy. May be a possibility late on, possibly the south take off on Milk (note this is in the bowl and not Milk Hill White Horse which has restrictions on pilot level). Sunday - lots of different forecasts, may not be too strong but the front looks to be stationary overhead and could bring rain. Keep an eye on the forecasts nearer the time. If it's Ok probably Milk or Rybury. Richard |

Not looking to great for the weekend.
SAT: Possibility of a small window in the morning for Milk but getting windier as the day goes on and maybe showers too.
SUN: Could be possible for Combe/liddington or Rybury depending on direction, forecasts vary from NW to W. Again showers may develope during the afternoon.
